Southern Arizona's Local Living Economy
SALLE is dedicated to connecting, educating and promoting Southern Arizona businesses that support our local living economy. We are committed to working locally to improve the social, economic, and environmental wellbeing of our community. Our goal is to foster partnerships which will enhance our local economy. Our mission is to promote and improve the conditions of the locally owned, independent business community in three counties of southern Arizona, Pima, Cochise, and Santa Cruz) We interpret the phrase "locally owned, independent business community" broadly to include retail establishments, farms, service businesses, nonprofit organizations, cooperatives, credit unions, and banks.
A local living economy provides secure and fulfilling livelihoods for all people, works in harmony with natural systems, supports biological and cultural diversity, and fosters a community life. SALLE's mission is to support, connect, and strengthen local, independent businesses dedicated to building living economies, which increase prosperity, fortify community, and ensure environmental health.
